Well, I don’t like to urge people to quit.It is not my philosophy(nor my nature to say) that everyone should jump out of the boat and join the bandwagon of #startup enthusiasts. In fact sometime back I wrote an article “”Kindly try these before you quit” .That article addressed some of the possible answers to the title question from a very different perspective.
Since the time I became a consultant, running own organization (bvprgj consultants) , I have had people secretly asking me a lot many questions such as…..
“Are you earning enough as you used to earn earlier while you were working?”…
“Where did you get the courage to start?” …
“What is the right time to quit and start”?..
“You know me for long,Now please tell me …. will “this” work out for me or not?”…
…..And more and more such questions.
Believe me, none of us POSSESS the power of a prophecy to perfectly define success in cases mentioned above (given the current scenario and the dynamically changing environment of the business).
There comes a time in life when you decide that being on own could probably be the only best situation from experiences. This varies from person to person and can never be generalized.
If ever you have been thinking of being an entrepreneur and getting a bit restless about not doing it (given other situations and conditions are permitting you) , You should ideally think in terms of getting into it before it is too late..
Why?
I will answer this…You enter the corporate world at a very young age full of energy and enthusiasm. You start doing the hard work but realize that something is missing. That promotion or incentives never makes you feel that great .The fire in the belly and the adrenaline rush to successfully build something from scratch and own it is making your day miserable at your cubicle as you would like to get started leaving behind what you are doing now. Then before getting frustrated and burnt you should ideally start.
If you have a strong gut feeling that you will be able to positively influence and maneuver difficult situations to develop something meaningful as an entrepreneur and love to take such a challenge then you should move in that direction. And to share with you all a little secret, these were the “things” that also inspired me in the year 2012 which resulted in me taking the step.
The #best advice?… Everyone having an urge to get into entrepreneurship could probably introspect a lot and come out with more logical answers based on own awareness of strengths before getting started.Having said that this also amounts to taking into consideration a lot many other aspects which could be pivotal points for the very success of a business unit.
Thanks for reading hope you are inspired to get going and love to hear from you about what you all think is the right time to quit?
